| Description | The
Bald Cypress is fast growing tree with horizontal branches, giving it a pyramidal shape. The Bald Cypress grows in swampy
grounds, which makes it excellent tree for areas with poor drainage or standing water. Bald Cypress have fine fern-like leaves
that are light green in spring, ageing to a deep green before turning rusty-red in autumn. The Bald Cypress has a cinnamon-brown
colored bark with a thin and fairly smooth texture. Also, the bark on a Bald Cypress is divided by longitudinal shallow fissures
which exfoliate in long strips. Bald Cypress also produces small round cones about 1/2 inch in diameter, which are blue-green
