Description

Eastern Red Cedar bark is reddish-brown, fibrous, and peels off in narrow strips. Eastern Red Cedars are great for windbreaks, and will grow in varieties of soil even clay, they are drought tolerant.  The leaves are of two types; sharp, spreading needle-like juvenile leaves 5-10 mm long, and tightly ad pressed scale-like adult leaves 2-4 mm long; they are arranged in opposite decussate pairs or occasionally whorls of three
